Ces codes sont trompeurs parce qu’ils font croire au respect des animaux. Le code 0 est le code le plus contraignant, il désigne les poules exploitées avec un accès à l’extérieur et qui mangent bio. Pourtant, les poules sont issues de races artificiellement créées par sélection génétique. Leur bec peut être coupé. Elles sont électrocutées, saignées, déplumées puis éviscérées à 1 an.
